What is the Micro Knife and why do I need it?

The Micro Knife is built to be the wolverine claw you never knew you needed.

It sits dormantly out of the way on your keys, until you need a razor sharp cutter - which is when you’ll have the capability of a tough blade instantly at your fingertips.

Can I add Additional Micro Knives?

You can use the Kickstarter Add-ons Section (after you select a reward) to manually add single knives to your order, otherwise simply add £5 for each Micro Knife you’d like to upgrade from Steel to the Titanium Edition - which you’ll be able to finalise on the pledge manager. On the larger packs there are some additional discounts.

How do I Pledge on Kickstarter?

Simply click the green “Back this project” button on our project page.

You will then be directed to select a reward. If you prefer not to choose a specific reward, select “Pledge without a reward” and enter your desired contribution.

When does Kickstarter take my Pledge payment?

Kickstarter only charges backers when campaigns that have been fully funded have come to an end, so you won’t be charged until the timer hits zero.

Don’t worry if you forget, Kickstarter (and our team) will be in touch if your payment fails.

What does it mean to Back a Project?

Backing a project means you’re pre-ordering an innovative product before its official launch.

As a backer, you’re joining a community that gets to provide your product selection via a survey (often for products that will never be made again), follow the production process of your knifes closely and provide valuable feedback to the creator when you receive your finished product.

By infusing the role of the community into each project, Kickstarter backers are integral in providing insights normally impossible to find elsewhere.

Do you ship worldwide?

Yes, we ship to every country that has a stable postal service. We plan to offer different shipping options, as well as courier shipping so you can track your package every step of the way.

Do I have to pay taxes or duties?

For the most part, 99% of customers we cover won’t encounter any duties or taxes as we forward packages to local fulfilment centres with it already prepaid.

We cannot advise how to proceed with country-specific customs demands, or pay for any amounts demanded for delivery, but please note: we do not include the product price on or in any shipments, as each product is often bundle priced.

Can I get a refund?

We use the funds from your pledge to produce a custom order specifically for you.

Since we place these orders immediately after the campaign ends, we’re unable to offer refunds once the campaign has concluded, which is standard practice in crowdfunding.

What is the Pledge Management Survey?

That’s the survey that’s released after the project ends to collect the colour choice of your Micro Knives, your address and if you’d like to add any add-ons.

It will go out 3-4 weeks after the campaign ends, as we use the funds from the project (released after 2-3 weeks) to pay for it.

Once that’s completed, we have everything we need to deliver your pledge.

What if I don't get a survey email?

Check if you used the Apple Hide My Email in your iPhone or another email forwarding client on your Kickstarter account.

What payment methods can I use?

Kickstarter accepts debit and credit cards from Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, and JCB.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
